Profile control and water plugging technology

The technology is a selective water plugging technology, adaptable to such complicated recovery cases as the simultaneous injection with multi-layers of the injected wells and the recovery with multi-layers of the oil wells. Applicable to the injected water wells, the working mechanism of the technology is to plug the near areas of the water injected wells to force the injected water walks along the high-permeability layer into the passage of the oil wells, change the direction of the injected water, adjust the absorption profile and increase the sweep coefficient; while in the oil wells, it is to plug the big pore-throat near the oil wells effectively through the water plugging of oil wells and make the incoming water change toward the middle-low permeability layers; in the meanwhile, the combination of water plugging in the oil wells and chemical huff and puff, namely setting high-efficient oil displacement agent before the plugging agent, both enhances the swept volume of the water flooding and increases the efficiency of oil displacement through the incoming water carrying high-efficient oil displacement agent to change the seepage direction and enter middle-low permeability layers.
The plugging agent provided by our company was awarded the progress prize for science and technology by the China National Petroleum Corp and the Education Department successively; the decision technology has gained a patent of the PRC (the patent number is ZL 97 1 15100.8), and has been awarded second prize of scientific and technological invention in Shandong province. According to such severe conditions in oil filed as high temperature, high salinity, high permeability, low permeability, or heavy oil, our company provides operation scheme of profile controlling and water plugging and chemical soaking and feasible formula of plugging agent and formula of oil displacement agent.
